poking and prodding will not hurt your baby, the sac and water provide a very safe protected environment, I once had a person in a wheelchair reverse rather quickly without looking and one of the push handles rammed into my bump, with no ill effects (apart from my anxiety and a braxton hicks!)
playing with your bump, stroking your bump, prodding a bit thats sticking up (elbow, foot etc) is a lovely way to communicate with your baby, they can feel and hear you, Its a lovely time, you carry on fiddling with your bump!

i am 37 weeks to and love to feel the life within me sometimes to kicks hurt but as long as my little one is moving i know he is ok he won't be bruised he is protected by the amniotic sac that surrounds him i feel very close to my baby (no pun intended lol) when he is moving i already love him so much i just can't wait until he is in my arms and i know you feel the same way too

good luck on labor and motherhood congrats

hehe! I do this ALL the time.. i cant help it though... especially when she's sticking elbows and stuff out i keep poking them back in lol. My bloke kept telling me to pack it in, but after seeing how hard the midwife prods about he soon joined in. Good luck to you anyway, not long now huh! i have got another 7 weeks to go..GRR! xXx

No, it's not possible to bruise your baby, he's well protected in there.
I love rubbing my belly, but I haven't bothered her enough to make her play with me yet. I'm 35 weeks.

LOL, no of course not. Enjoy that belly now because you'll miss it when its' gone. I still sometimes think I feel a movement, and then have to remind myself I'm not pregnant anymore.

I'm 34 weeks and I've been doing the same thing. My husband and daughter think it's funny. :) No, it won't hurt the baby, though...I asked my doctor to be sure! :)
