I have tried replacing all the diferent ink cartridges, but I still get the reading No Cartridge. Also, I have unplugged the printer from the computer to try to clear this message. Still no results. Any ideas.

Did you remove the cover from the cartridge that protects the contacts? There should be a tab that you pull to remove the transparent film. Do NOT touch the contacts with your fingers.

Is is a genuine Brother cartridge or a refill? Some refill or 'knock off' ink cartridges simply won't work in your printer. If all else fails, you might try refilling the original cartridge.

Try rebooting the printer. Put in the catridge, turn off the printer, wait five minutes and try again. If it's still happening then it's a faulty cartridge or it's not in right.

some printers keep track of how old the cartridge is and weather they are empty or full they say they are empty after a certain period of time
