Twilight and its sequel New Moon, even though the first is much better than the second. It is about this teenaged girl, Bella, that falls for a vampire. Pretty rad. :P
A Great and Terrible Beauty. About this teenaged girl that attends a prep school that has a sinister past.
Mary Jane. It's a book about the character from Spiderman. A lot like the first movie. I wish I could find my copy.
The Lovely Bones. Kind of weird, but still a pretty good book. About a girl that was raped and killed, then went to heaven. She watches how her family reacts to her murder and how they carry on with their lives.

I am sixteen and I think it really depends on what you like to read.
I recently finished The Kite Runner by Khalid Hosseini and it is about a boy in Afghanistan and dramatic events that change everything including the Russian coup and Taliban. It was gripping and exciting from the first to last page, I also hear a buzz about a movie releasing later this year.
I am also a big chick-lit fan. My favorite series is by Megan Mccafferty and it is called Sloppy Firsts, Second Helpings, and Charmed Thirds those books are really good because is just your normal average girl in it. Sarah Dessen books are amazing read Dreamland, The Truth about Forever, This Lullaby. Very touching books.
There is a bunch of Ned Vizzini books that are teen angsty and they are always fun to read. If your into the adventure and action I def. suggest Cirque Du Freak although I forget the author's name.
There are so many great books out there no matter what you are into, I hope you enjoy my suggestions. (lol...hallmark moment) lol

yes, I am 13, and I LOVE the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. It's in the Young Adult section, so don't worry. It's a mixture of fantasy, adventure, and romance. It's amazing. Check out the website to see if it's something you'd like to read.

Christopher Pikes has some great young adult type reads out there, my favorite being Season of Passage. If you like more sci-fi/thriller books, another easy and interesting read is "A Thorned Rose" by J.L.Ault.

It is a bit hard when we don't know what kind of books you like. If you like fantasy try David Eddings, start with Pawn of Prophecy, and Terry Pratchett, try Truckers and Only you can save mankind. I am David by Ann Holm is brilliant and is a 'journey' book as is Homecoming by Cynthia Voigt.
