Edward Longshanks, Edward the II is a perfect example of a despotic King. he was King when William Wallace was drawn, quartered, and tortured. He let Jewish merchants finance one of the endless wars with France, then kicks them out of his country after he takes all their money. A despotic King is one who lets no one have rights by law he takes away whatever he can get his greedy hands on and rules by fear and intimidation. Also the guy was such a moron when he died he knew how rotten he was and had himself dressed as a monk to sneak his way into heaven. I think a few of these types of Kings was why the Magna Carta or great charter was made by parliament. They had had enough of despots
