politics and the news IS reality. How the hell are you supposed to know if there's a war going on, people dieing, diseases spread, countries deciding what to do next, if it wasn't for politics and news?
Those who refuse to learn actually stay ignorant in reality.

It's everyone's job to care about politics....it has a direct impact on your daily life. The news, well, unfortunately it's the source for the information we need even though it's not all that accurate.

We all should, otherwise, democracy won't work very well. Us being informed is one of the checks and balances of our system
