He could be planning a leap for freedom and is just adressing the other fish to help him escape. Just apply extra weight to the lid

Is he doing it repeatedly? Sounds like he's trying to mimic some big fish he's seen on whose line is it anyway. Now you've caught him, he's being Coy and acting cagey.
