I don't hate the people - I hate the SUV's. They are big and hard to see around, so we don't know what's up ahead (an important part of safe driving). Also, many SUV drivers are rude and seem to feel some superiority since they are sitting higher than the rest of us.

The biggest issue I have is that (at least here in Colorado Springs) since they have 4-wheel drive, many of them drive very unsafely in the snow and ice because they have this false sense of security. What they seem to forget is that the driving isn't the problem, it's the stopping and they can't stop any faster or better than we can on ice. As a matter of fact, it's harder for them to stop because they have all 4 tires pushing them. You should see some of the footage when they lose control. It's scary. Funny but whenever they show a vehicle lose it here on ice because of driving too fast, it's an SUV. And they don't stop nearly as fast as a car out of control. The drivers are dangerous because they feel invincible. But if they lose control, they will take out several of us with them. Maybe they should think about that.

In my position, rather some the SUV drivers are aggressive, conceited, and typically force in a reckless way. also, in my position, rather some the SUV vendors, even Jeeps and Land Rovers, under no circumstances even take their vehicle off the line ! They purchase it because it seems demanding and muscular. possessing an American branded even makes them experience more suitable demanding, like possessing a Harley Davidson. As for something else of the international, I dont understand, even though it particularly is the tale and stereotype in my position.

Let's see. Because everyone I see is operated (Notice I didn't say drive.) by idiots who have no respect for other drivers or traffic laws. You can't buy a decent car anymore because all the manufactures make are these Stupid Unnecessary Vehicles and pickups.

In the UK, I can see why because the roads are narrower and smaller, but since I now live in the midwest now...I don't see why not...it snows heavily here and my mid sized SUV is a lifesaver to me, plus I have two toddlers, so it's more of an necessity to me than an luxury.

If there is just one person in a SUV, then I have a problem. I mean, there are like 8 seats use them wisely! AND they waste gas(not the farting kind)

Because the things are much too large to see past. I'm small size and drive a small car, and folks like me can't see past them. It's more of the fact they seem inconsiderate of others by driving something so large. Also, you can't haul anything with them like you can with a large size pickup--what purpose do they have?

I prefer small cars. Why would I be jealous of a car I wouldn't be able to operate at my height without modifications? that's not poor, that's SMART. My Ford Focus hatchback, brand new, was a better investment and it handled well in our recent snow.

Wow! People just find any reason to hate. I drive a F350. Wonder if they hate me. I'd drive a dump truck if they let me. LOL. When I get one, I'll dump dirt on them for you. hehe Just kidding everyone, I'm a very courteous driver.

It's not the people, it's the SUV. They are too big, gas guzzlers, and take up room. Most are expensive too and some are really dumb looking.
