I think Abortion is just like killing somebody, that lil fetus was chosin to be born, and man, not God killed it. Thats so stupid what if it was you in that little fetus, would you wanna die or become who you are now? Its not fair to that little fetus who was chosen by God to come out into this big world, who knows maybe it could have been your best friend, you know that person who's always there for you, and won't give up on you.

I think its WRONG, everything happens for a reason.

Abortion is like murder. It shouldn't happen and if you want to put the baby up for abortion so he/she will have a better life, go ahead and do so! Give everyone a chance. ...Abortion should only be ethical if the woman's life is at stake, but other than that, abortion should not be acceptable.

I think it's sad that this topic has become so political and such an invasion of privacy. Do you eat eggs? What would rest alongside the bacon if there were no eggs. How would we make bread, or cake, or everything else that requires eggs. Now what are eggs, unhatched chicks. But we seem to have no problem with that. Life is life right? What difference does it make if it's human or animal? There are reasons for everything, you're right. But I contest that there are reasons why people are given the choice. Maybe someone is so open with their sexuality that they thought they were invincable until finally she got pregnant and realized wow, this is serious, i really need to be more cautious. Because of this she uses condoms and obstains far more than she had, decreasing the spread of some potential disease she had. Maybe the pregnancy was the result of a rape, and that child would be a constant reminder of the trauma she lived through. You can say that everything happens for a reason but did that child asked to be born from that situation, did the child ask to be abused her entire life because the mom holds resentment toward it because of the trauma she went through? The bottom line is we should either be obstaining or protecting ourselves to prevent pregnancy unless it's thought through. Why not spend the money fighting abortion through prevention and education. That's where the true solution lies.

Well,
most people don;t like giving babies up.
and that tends to be the case in pregnancies caused by rape.

You shouldn't bring a child into the world if you can't properly support it. Nor should you if you have no desire too.

But sometimes, people screw up with the birth control.
And sometimes, the fetus can threaten the life of the mother.
A fetus is biologically classified as a parasite after all.

Besides,
Aborting a baby from this schizophrenic world is euthanasia in my book. But you should also realize that while a fetus may become the next Mozart, Lincoln, or Mother Teresa. . .
They could just as easily become the next Hitler, Dahmer, or George W. Bush ;)

I support it in cases before and within the first trimester, and in situations where it saves the mother.
Otherwise it should be allowed to live and be blessed with its potential.

It's up to YOU, or simply the person making the decision.
It's YOUR/THEIR life, YOUR/THEIR baby, and YOU/THEIR burden to live with.
Why should anyone be overtly concerned with how someone else runs their own life?

Its not evil. If you're a fetus you dont know you exist. If you get pregnant and you know for certain you dont want the baby and therefore wouldnt look after it well its better to be aborted when it doesnt know than be brought up in an unloving family or be passed from pillar to post in foster care. And lets face it, its a bit pointless believing in 'god' cos theres no evidence for it (bible is NOT evidence, could have been written by anyone) so dont use that as a reason against abortion. Youre never gona be able to wipe out abortion with your own opinion so get over it!

It is always sad when a fetus is aborted! There are personal reasons along with medical reasons that make it necessary sometimes. It's the women who use abortion as a form of birth control that I object to.

i have a friend who has birth defect since fetus, it's probably her mother was taking some drug during pregnancy. she has only 4 fingers. and some mental problem.
all her life, she keep on blaming her mother for giving birth to her.
her life is miserable, she become lesbian because no man like her. she take drugs. sometimes she become homeless. it's a mess. both her and her mother life is a mess.
i think if the fetus has serious birth defect, then the abortion can be considered. then make a way for another new life to come.
i don't know, i am sorry if i am rude.

As a Catholic and a Conservative, I am stepping into one here, but here goes!

I feel it is up to the Woman to decide. This should free any man who does not share Parental rights of any Paternity obligations if the Woman decides to Keep the Baby but does not want the father in the child's life!

I also Make a Point of letting the prospective mother know-That I do not know of ANY Mother who would not sacrifice HERSELF for the life she brought into this World-It seems seeing your Offspring has a profound effect on the meaning of the sacredness of bestowing LIFE!!!!

abortion is something i don't care for. me being a guy in my opinion we don't have a say in abortion. even though we are the ones who get women pregnant its the woman that has to carry it and under those 9 months while the guys sit back. which leads to another point why guys shouldnt have a say in abortion. alot of mis planed pregnancy's happen in teens were neither the guy or girl is not ready, and being pregnant could very well ruin your life. so would you rather have your life ruined or live life and have children when your ready. also what about rape victims? so if they get raped and become pregnant they have to have the child, and that women got raped for a reason? saying that pregnancy happens for a reason while in some cases is true, but more then not its a mistake.

I think its NOT for guys to decide, but for women to decide if they are ready or wiling.

I do agree with what your saying and it really isn't fair that someone was deprived the chance to live but think about this: When people choose to have an abortion it is because they are not ready to have a child and I would never want to be born into a home where I knew I was going to have a hard life and be unhappy. To look back and know that you weren't even planned... for some people would put that in the phrase surprise while others would say mistake. I don't believe anyone was a mistake but I would definetly find that harder to understand if I was born into an unstable home.

I think that I am glad that I was blessed enough to be born in a country that has its freedoms, and that we are each free to make our own choice on that. Your belief is good, because it is YOUR belief, and no one can take that away from you. Just like my belief, wether it be for or against (that is not the issue), is MINE, and no one can take that away from me!
