Is there a website that gives you a list of everything you have to buy in order to build your own computer?

It is not true that building your own computer is more expensive; in fact, it only takes a little bit of shopping around to save several hundred dollars or more over a comparable system from Dell or the like. My last PC cost me about $1400 in parts and took about an hour to build (that includes a $350 brushed aluminum case) - a system with similar specs from Dell cost $2100... and it comes with a crappy plastic case with a heavy-as-*** steel frame.

The idea that building your own pc would be more expensive is preposterous. Check out newegg.com for all the components and you'll be right as rain!

building a pc is much more expensive than buying a complete...make sure youve got enough money
