First, get all the fractions to have like denominators. To do this, multiply the second fraction by (x+1)/(x+1). Then multiply the last fraction by (x-2)/(x-2).

Once that is done, multiply out and simplify the numerator.

I ended up getting the numerator and the denominator to be equal terms, so B = 1.

B(x+1)(x-2) = (4x^2+7x-3) - 3(x^2+2x+1) - 2(x-2)
B(x+1)(x-2) = x^2-x-2 = (x-2)(x+1)
so B = 1
