How can I fix this so I can format my c drive?

I'm running windows 98 SE, but I'm not sure of the DOS version......just the one that says "restart in MS-DOS"

You have to get a boot up disk. Hopefully you also have your Windows Operating system disk too. If you have a boot up disk you can boot up from the disk and by pass your original configuration.
Once your booted up, you might want to run a fdisk to set it for formatting then you can run a format on your hard drive. Good luck and I hope this work.

Err, why would you want to format your C drive? Do that your computer is toast.

You can format the C: drive from WIndows.

But do it, you have removed your operating system.

sorry I forgot what little I knew about dos, what was it, disk operating system if I remember correctly.
