My car did this to me and one of the hoses had a good sized hole in it and leaked all of the water out of it and burnt up the engine. Take back to the shop and have someone else look at it that is qualified. Maybe they forgot to fill it back up with oil when they changed it. Have you checked?

You need three things for a engine to run, spark, fuel, compression. As long you have all three then you have to make sure they all come together at the right time. Check your timming belt (or chain). It sounds like it is the belt. It might be a in fuel tank fuel pump problem make sure you are getting the proper fuel pressure at the carb. Does your fuel gage work OK, you might have lost ground if it pegs clear over. Check for spark at the spark plug. Is your battery up to the proper voltage if it was down low and you had to jump start it, you could have blown the alternater so it was just running on battery until it died. Good Luck.

Have it towed to a mechanic and have the problem diagnosed. it will save you a lot of money in the long run rather then the shot gun method (point and replace a part adn hope that the problem). I work in a garage, and i get the a lot of the time, by customers thinking that they know how to diagnose a problem. Mechanics are not stupid people. Just have it diagnosed, pay the diagnosis and have the problem fixed, no stress for you.

Your problem sounds terrible. The info that is missing is - did the truck run alright immediately after the oil and plugs were changed. If not, the plug wires were probably crossed. If it did, you've got a real problem. Good luck.

Good God, girl! Have you ever heard of punctuation? It makes reading a whole lot easier.
My advice would go back to wherever you got the oil and plugs changed and ask them what the heck they did to your truck.

Well, you can keep replacing parts until you have a new truck, or, you can have a mechanic look at it.
