I have heard people say this and I'm just wondering what all you hockey experts out there think.

The Canucks are doing well, but the Blues are on a huge roll too since Andy Murray took over as coach.

My team is the hottest though; especially when you are in the dressing room with us!

The team that makes the play-offs and then wins the last game that they play becomes the winners..The hottest team in January is no more the champion than the hottest in Oct. was ( LEAFS) . The Canucks are playing a good trap game, but anybody who wins the NW will have been a hot contender. Unlike the All-Star game, fan voting doesn't have anything to do with winning the Stanley Cup.

Not really. Sure they've won 10 of 12 but some of those were in shootouts. Basically, the Nux are Dallas with a better goalie. As a Nux fan in Vancouver, we are not fooling ourselves. We're good but not world beaters by any stretch. Great run but Nashville are really the hottest team right now.

Go Canucks! (and I'm a Senators fan). Gone is Dan Cloutier. His place taken by Roberto Luongo. And Roberto has made a difference. The Sedins have contributed as well.

There are a lot better teams in NHL than the Canucks. Montreal, Nashville, Anaheim, Buffallo and the lists goes on and on.
What matters is the playoffs and the Stanley Cup.

Lets just say if Luongo is out, this team is toast.

And countpetez, I think you're missing the Sabres and Ducks both had better starts than the Leafs did.

im new to hockey and im 47.--played all kinds of sports in my life but never played hockey so i never had an interest.--then i signed up for fantasy hockey in yahoo and well im hooked.--i watch it on tv, i go to panther games(dont laugh i get to sit next to the glass in empty seats sometimes and see brier afingonev and all my fantasy players)oh and by the way i learned about the cannucks big time.--i have luongo.i had salo and he got injured--i then picked him up again and also picked up bieska.--now bieska is something else--he skates near 30 min a game.--he's on the power play and is with salo a lot and has over 80min of pim(what a piss--u get rewarded for penalties--that amazes me)--so i get bang for the buck.---another note i had a friend that did play jr hickey at the mall--there a was a rink near a big mall.--the name of the team was the maulers.--so when i signed up for fantasy hockey and they asked what the name of my team is--"the maulers"--just like my friends teams name when i was a kid.

They didn't beat Buffalo because they played two games in two nights and had their backup in net. They aren't the hottest team, they're just the best team.

I take it you probably did not watch it any of Canada's video games contained in the olympics because the commentators suggested it various cases consistent with sport. in addition they saved pointing out that the crew were shouting LU no longer BOO.

I think the are the hottest, but, as the game against the Sens on Thursday proves, they are riding a hot goalie. They are one injury from mediocrity.
