The US has a Do Not Call website. This was inacted by Pres. Bush, so I really don't think this will apply to Canada. I would find out if an equivalent exists there.

I do not know the number but, whenever a telemarketer calls and u answer,You MUST respond by telling them that u want to be taken off the call list.By law they must remove u from their list but it usually take about ten days

I don't know if that's even possible. Once the people over in India, or wherever the calls come from, get a hold on your number, they just call whenever they want. I've tried asking them myself, but no luck so far.

Just google the "national no call list" and call the number. You can get companies in trouble if after the waiting period they still call you.

I make it a point to answer the phone. Let the person talk after I say hello, When they stop to let me respond. I say "NoThankYou" and hang up.
If the caller talks for over 60 seconds, I hang Up!
Works great.

When they call you, you simply tell them "take me off your list, buddy. im not interested" and hang up. (in a somewhat polite way. but you have to be aggressive too.)
They will stop calling you eventually, you just can't ignore the calls, otherwise then they WONT stop calling.
Good luck! =]

I usually swear at them and shout, then they hang up on me and never call back. It's been four months since I last had a cold call.
