i have an ipod 4th generation clickwheel and i downloaded the latest itunes. I brought this ipod from my friend. but i didn't get the cd that is generally supposed to come with it. So anyway i plugged in my ipod to my computer (windows 2000) and it read it and it was working fine for about 2 days. then all of a sudden, my computer wasn't reading my ipod and neither was the itunes. Is there anyway possible i can fix this. I tried reseting my ipod and everything i even uninstalled itunes and reinstalled it and still it can not detect it. Any help anyone can give will be greatly appreciated. Please tell me how i can fix this problem. And also will not having the cd cause a big problem and is that why this is happening?

Well I'm sure this isn't the answer you were looking for but if you plug the IPOD into a different USB port it will make the computer install the driver again and should fix the problem.

i'm uncertain if your subject could desire to be because of the USB port interior the workstation, even though it had got here approximately to me as quickly as, that my USB port interior the workstation does no longer study the ipod and that i had to maintain the ipod plugged into the workstation and reboot it. It did then and because i do exactly that, attempt it. sturdy luck
