I ask this because it seems like there would be some type of demand for a site where you could express your opinions to a group of 1,000 of people at the same time. Something like this would be fairly cool to chat on and see what people had to say I think. It would also allow people to come together in a new way that hasnt been seen on the internet before or at least I dont know of an open chat where 1,000s of people can chat together. I know of some games that have a system similar to this but dont allow random talk on there servers.

yeah I have seen web-cast type stuff but I have never seen a site just for randoms to chat in 1,000s of numbers in open chat not a message board. You would think that it would have some type of a market. But I guess it has none...

I realize it would be really chaotic but I think that would be 1/2 of the fun of it. Like as long as you can pause the chat and look through what people are saying I think it might be fun. The biggest problem I see with it is people would flood it with bots probably so youd need some pretty good anti bot systems engaged. Also you can limit the amount of times people can post per say hour to so few that bots wouldnt be worth it. I'm not saying coming up with a site like this would be easy but I think the market exists for a site like above.

Not for free they don't. Microsoft as created a confrence like chat system for about 1,000 people to talk. However what you are thinking of would be really chaotic you'd have to set up some system in which only a few people could talk at the same time.

I thought that they did this on Web-casts. You know, like when a celebrity chat is promoted and such. I could be mistaken.

dosn't that kindof relate to yahoo answers?

thousands of people ask questions and answer them, so it is a kind of a chat.
