Where is the access code on my game cartridge?

I purchased the game "Sims 2 Pets" for the Nintendo DS new last month, and I'd like to register it at EA Games, but I can't without the code. I contacted them, and they said to look on the CD case, even though I have the DS version. I've looked through the entire booklet. Any help here?

Not the booklet, but there should be an insert there, maybe on the other side of the ad for Nintendo Power that you probably (oops!) threw away...
