I have never read the books but the films are ok. As for the up and coming book, I would like it to be called Harry Potter and the Wizard's Sleeve.

I would also like Harry to realise he is gay and for Hermione to get it on with the ginger tosser and take up smoking.

Then Harry could get into the ultimate fight for supremacy with Voldemort, get killed, get brought back from the dead by crappy Hermione and Ron, not realising that they are messing with powers they cannot begin to imagine and the act of making Harry live again has upset the natural order, thus wreaking utter mayhem on the earth and mankind.

Then we could have a bit of stuff with a unicorn or a pleasing dragon baby, Harry could be overcome with evil and hatred and not only take out Hermione and Ron, (and probably poor Neville) but go on a vengence trail to have his revenge on Voldemort. Sirius could resurface and let slip he wasn't really dead as could Dumbledore and between them they could turn day into night and go completely postal, wiping out most of mankind before forming an unlikely allegiance and forcing Voldemort to become their Gimp.

I have never actually read any of the books but a friend of mine has read the lot and has told me all about them! (Fascinating........hmmm).

Hope the Rowling woman is taking notes...mine would be a far better book. I am going to write my own but it will be a girl and I will call her Carrie Hopper. The first one will be Carrie Hopper and the Goblet of Absinthe. A bunch of freaky wizard children will discover the liquor cabinet, go to town and have some way out hallucinations, all involving magicks and demons....long and involved....only to wake up the next day with blistering hangovers and realize it was all a group trip. The follow up will be called Carrie Hopper and the Pharmacist's Prescription....it will run along the lines except the hallucination will come about by some fiendish wizard mixing of innocuous over the counter drugs and nicotine replacement products....long and involved...they avert evil and end up with diarrhoea.
The third and final installment will be Carrie Hopper and the Prisoner of The Priory. Having admitted their ever encompassing addictions, Carrie and her two friends Phyllis and Rodney check into a magic rehab....it is run by unspeakable evil forces of depravity and headed up by a creature called Moldywart which they conquer and just fail to kill even by means of group therapy and 'creative artworking' sessions. However...either Carrie or Moldywart must die in order to break the chain of evil....blah blah etc etc......

I am now ready to admit I have too much time on my hands and maybe am more than a little drunk.........

(publishers get in touch!!!!!!.........lmao)

i guess you are not asking anyone else other then the 'englishs'...so i'll put forward my point (although i am not an 'english'...).
the answer to your question is half yes half no, simply because the first 2 or 3 books are nice to begin with, then it starts going downhill, the plot is getting a bit lame, too repetitive..."o...its voldemort again! he's gonna kill me again! and he's gonna fail again! i'm gonna stop him again! gasp gasp gasp"...there needs to be a new spark every time, not just the same old threat. as for the movies, the first one's good, second's satisafactory, third is ok...and like the books, it kinda goes downhill again...harry potter needs to learn a new expression on his face, while his friends' popularity soar faster than his...although the graphics/special effects are pretty good...

It's the best adventurous story ever written.I love the books more than the films.Because you can find so many details there, the film is just an idea to see how the heros look like.Well,I'm not fan of Harry POtter,my lovely hero is professor Severus Snape!!!!

not London, Edinburgh, says this "Scottishs". Lots of Italians around - visiting for a day, or resident through many generations. JK Rowling is everyone's neighbour up here. Books better than films, but film 3 very good (Go Alfonso Cuaron!).

I like both but prefer the books cos the movies cut out too much of the story.

I enjoy both the films and books because they're both different, unique forms. As far as books go, I'd say my favorite is "Order of the Phoenix," but I really don't have a least favorite. It's hard to decide between the films; I guess I'd have to say I like them all, too!

So far,i have read all the current books that have been published, and I've seen all the films as well.
My preferences are the books,as I'm terrible for comparing the books,to the movies.
