My husband's Grandmother was also 106 in December. She lives in the north east of Scotland.

Although I no longer live in the UK, I was born in Glasgow
and often spent holidays in Arran. So I congratulate both
Grandpa‘s 106th. birthday and all the good folk that surround
him.

I know this is outside of the UK but some lady in a Canadian resthome died Friday at the age of 115. Personally I don't think I would want to live past the age of 80 or 100. I think I'd be too bored.

I stood on the Ayrshire coast today just north of Ardrossan and look across at a snow covered Arran and thought to my self "People pay to go to Switzerland for a view like that" Hope to cycle it this year

My great great grandfather lived to be 107. My grandmother told me he could read the paper without his glasses and went for a two mile walk every day till he died. He was born in 1803 and lived till 1910 having lived through the great famine.

There was a guy i knew who reached 108 he was a very tall man, i dont know if that had anything to do with it! respect to your grandad.
