You are not tasting actual blood. You are tasting lactic acid, which has a similar flavor, at high concentrations. I kind of like the taste of low concentrations of lactic acid - it means I'm working out effecitvely, but I dislike the flavor of high concentrations. It reminds me of when I had lots of teeth pulled in childhood at the dentist. Anyway, lactic acid accumulates when you exercise past your "lactate threshold." This is the point at which you cannot utilize the electron transport chain in your mitochondria any further (maxed out), but still require more energy. As glucose is normally metablized for energy, it is converted to pyruvic acid. Without the electron transport chain being available for further metabolism of pyruvic acid, it is converted to lactic acid (your body does benefit from this conversion in a small way), and lactic acid finds its way into your saliva. During recovery after exercise, the body converts the excess lactic acid back to pyruvic acid, and metabolizes it via the electron transport chain, so the taste goes away.

Did you forget to take the razor blade off the roof of your mouth? You can always put it in again after you run.
