I was wondering that myself just the other day. I would like to see him do something onscreen again. And show these new actors a thing or two. I wanna throw up everytime i think of charlie and the chocolate factory. Depp is a good actor, but he ain't got shite on Gene Wilder...

He had a battle with leukemia a few years back, but thankfully was successfully treated.
He hasn't appeared as an actor for a few years, since a couple of guest spots on Will & Grace. But he has recently done commentaries for the DVDs of "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes Smarter Brother" and "The World's Greatest Lover".

He hasn't done a theatrical movie since "Another You" in 1991. In 1999 he made 3 tv movies, of which two he wrote.
