You will need a suit and full coat, plus gloves. It is going to get very cold this week in Chicago. I would say NO to the boots...tacky in my opinion, because there isn't much snow to contend with considering that you are probably taking a taxi from the airport to the interview. Wear closed toed shoes (pumps, I am assuming you are a woman) and you will be fine. I live near Chicago and I wouldn't wear boots to an interview. For after hours, bring a hat if you want.

Wear your regular business suit and shoes and an overcoat. If you don't want to carry around an overcoat, I suppose you could take a cab to and from the airport to the front door of the place where you are having the interview. You'll probably only be outside in the cold weather for the time it takes to hail a cab and the time it takes to run into the front door of the building. There is a flat rate fee for cab rides from the airport to downtown. You could bring an umbrella just in case it's snowing.

As I am from Chicago, it is wintertime so wear something warm (if you have a pant suit that would work) and be sure to wear a winter coat as well....since it did snow, you might want to wear a pair of older shoes/boots and bring a pair of nice shoes or heels to wear at the actual interview.

a nice wool suit, and a very heavy long length jacket. i'd wear a pair of boots and bring a nice pair of heels to change into once you arrive at the building. also a nice scarf will not only keep you warm but it's fashionable.

good luck!

At this time of year string bikinis are the usual attire, why would you need a coat in Chicago, why do you think they call it the sunny city?!

For the colar shirt, one word: microfiber. It's great for staying warm and looking professional in cold weather.
