Ok now you are talking.
I give your new system 10/10
You will NOT be dissapointed!.
And if you make the changes to the Quad, then 20/10 for you,
cause that's gonna last you for a good long time.

I cannot believe that one guy mentioned getting an E6300 over an E6600. The E6600 has 4MB cache, whereas the E6300 only has 2MB cache! You want the extra 2MB cache so you are making the right decision in getting the E6600. Plus, the Core 2 Duos are great for over clocking, even with the stock cooling fan.
If you want to increase your gaming performance, look into getting a 2nd WD Rapxtor X 150GB and settting that in RAID 0. Gives you that extra performance boost in loading and reading.

Okay, don't bother with the quad for gaming, the duo will do fine, and you will be able to get a quad for $300 in a year, no sense in blowing all that money now. Get an ASUS board with the P965 chipset, MUCH better than the 975 chipset. At the very least get the P965 chipset, bet preferably on an ASUS. Everything else looks good. I'd give it a 7 as is, a 9 if you get the motherboard I suggested.

Not that bad, the case is not as good as others, but that's up to you. Trick with cases is the airflow across components inside.
The E6600 is overpriced, The E6300 is not that far in performance, and most games don't use the cpu that much. And with a cheaper cpu, you can get other components. Like 3 hardrives example: (2) 80gb hardrive in raid 0, (1) 160gb harddrive in raid 1 (Hense Raid 0+1). Or spend it on video card(s). Goto www.tomshardware.com for reviews and benchmarks. They have alot of info for building "gaming" machines.
And note: quad cpus are completely useless in games. It might be a while before they are used by games. But by then, the AMD cpu that has kinda of a gpu built-in will be out (possible ultimate gaming cpu).
