I am using an old version of Suse Linux and it says I have 2411MB for some sort of reason. I don't want to fix this, I just need to know how many gigabytes is that? Approximately.

I will choose my best answer in four hours, since this stupid Yahoo thinks people are slow. Thank you very much!

All this time I thought I had 2000 bytes. How silly of me.

1 b - 1 bit
1 B = 1 Byte = 8b = 8 bits
1KB= 1000 Bytes
1MB=1024 KB
1GB= 1000 MB so 2411MB = 2,4 GB

Bytes are not exactly the same in translation. Essentially you have 2.4 GB of space, give or take a few (may actually be more like 2.398 GB).

2.4 gigs. It is easy if you remember:

1000 K = 1 Meg
1000 Meg = 1 Giga
1000 Gig = 1 Terabyte

That is 2.4 gigabytes.

A gigabyte is 1,000 megabytes.
