Depending on the size of the bottle, you could probably find a pool noodle (those foam things) and wrap it in that. Or, you could just simply wrap in a good thick fabric. Good Luck with it!

Don't put anythng in their water. Switch to crocks/bowls. I don't like the aluminum bowls because they conduct cold too fast. (Personal preference.) A company called Van Ness makes a plastic crock (they call it a "CS3") that we have used for years. I have a 5 gal bucket with a piece of 2x4 across the top. I smack the bowls onto the 2x4, the ice falls into the bucket and I refill the bowl. I use a watering system (as described above) but had no luck keeping the nipples from freezing. At least with a bowl, the rabbits can lick the ice (better than no water at all!). These bowls have put up with years of freezing and thawing. You can get them for around 95 cents each if ordered in quantity. Regarding keeping rabbits in the cold, my rabbits are healthier and happier being outside in the barn. The good Lord saw fit to give them a fur coat... who am I to argue with the Creator? (We've had babies born at -4 degrees F, never lost a one... but summer heat can be a real killer if you're not careful!)

If for some reason you can't bring the rabbit inside you should at least build it some kind of house and put the water in it's house and perhaps wrap the bottle with an old towel or something to keep it from freezing.... Hope this helps you...

Rabbits are supposed to be inside when it's winter. But try to place the water bottle in the spot where your rabbit sleeps. The climat should be high enough to stop it freeze.

I have the same problem. Just run to the store and grab another water bottle. Always keep one in the house. Whenever you feed them, bring the defrosted one out with you and the frozen one in. That one will be defrosted by the next time you feed. : )

you could put a heater in the cage, but i dont know if that would do anything for it. im surprised that that rabbit's still alive if its cold enough for his bottle to freeze. why dont you keep it inside????

I would keep the rabbit indoors during the winter, because no one wants a frozen bunny!

the rabbits love the cold, but unfortuntely water doesn't do so well. you just have to use and bowl and refill it every few hours. thats what i do.
