I have a 1st generation iPod nano. Something happened (I don't know what) and now it has a blank screen that is white on the top, gray on the bottom, and black fuzz-stuff in the bottom corner!! It still plays music, but I can't see what I'm doing!! Any idea, anyone?

I fully charged it, but does the actual battery need to be changed? I got it for Christmas in 2005. I did drop it in a puddle, but that was about 6 months ago!

i've heard rumors about the batteries wear out after awhile.

1. the effects of the puddle are starting to effect it.

2. your batteries are starting to wear out. (which im sorry i dont think they can be changed)

3. it over heated

so you can:

hold the middle button and menu button for about 20 seconds tell it turns off. then leave it off for a while.

and if those dont work, then im sorry your ipod might be broken.

Wow!?! Take it to the apple store at Woodfield or some apple store near you. Tell them the problem and see if they can fix it. Good luck!!
