You have to download iTunes from apple's website. Then, after you configure it, it will put all of your songs onto iTunes. Then, then plug in your iPod into the usb port. While it is plugged in, you can also, if you want to, change the way you put music onto your iPod.
In order to get iTunes, you have to be online. Getting this is the only way you can put songs onto your iPod. Once you get iTunes, read the help stuff in the help menu. This should help you greatly.

you could drag the songs that you have on your computer...but you need to install the cd that you got with your ipod into the computer.....after that then you open where your songs that you have and you drag them into the itunes.
then you click on the ipod icon then you upload them into your ipod
want to download songs for free? go to http://www.limewire.com and download the program
and yes you do have to bee online

One of my friend had a ipot problem, even if he download the program. usually they give you cd, some time they don't because they forget. I can help you, but if you try everything and its doesn't work. you can IM me. or Email. just go to my profile.

Yes you have to have the itunes program go to www.itunes.com did you get software with the ipod if you did you have to install that program also.
