I'm a Canadian and I'm interested in what American's think of Hillary Clinton possibly running for President of the US?
I'm only interested in respectful answers (no insults or ignorant answers, just legitimate well thought out opinions) - *** I welcome answers from all ages, but if you aren't of legal voting age, it would be interesting to know (if you feel comfortable sharing that information)
*** if you have never voted and don't plan to in the future, don't waste your time expressing your opinion here
Thanks! :)

I do vote every election and am interested in seeing the answers you get to your question. I for one will not be voting for Hillary Clinton. My father who is a strong democrat will not be voting for Hillary Clinton. I have read too many horrible accounts of her actions to even consider her, some from people in her own party. I pray that America sees this for what it is. A women with her own agenda, not America's at heart.

I'll start y making you aware that I have voted before. More than once. I have a simple procedure that I follow when it comes to voting. I don't vote for any person because of their party affiliation. I feel that one party is just as bad as the other and I actually believe that having political party's is bad for the nation as a whole. The majority of the time they vote what is best for the party and for themselves in the long run. They don't care anything about what is in the Nations best interest. I vote for those who have the courage to make decisions and stand by those decisions whether that decision is right or wrong.
I personally would never vote for Hillary Clinton. She is too much like her husband. She has no backbone and caters too much to public opinion polls. She allowed her husband to make a disgrace out of the Presidency and out of her with all of his extra-martial affairs. She should have had the guts to divorce him and publically disavow his behavior. He lied to the people and to congress. He obstructed justice. Yet she stood by his side. This tells me about her character. She showed me then that she will do whatever it takes to get what she wants, which is to be President. She is a greedy immoral woman. She does not accept responsibility for her actions. She blames others for her failures. These are not the qualities of a leader. A leader leads. A leader does not govern by what they think others want. Hard decisions have to be made when you are in a position of leadership and they may not always be popular decisions, but that comes with the job. She is not now, nor will she ever be qualified to lead this country in my opinion. I don't approve of everything that President Bush has done, but at least he stands by his decisions and takes responsibility for those decisions. He doesn't blame others for his mistakes. Thats what makes him a leader. Its why he is where is is and she is nothing but a never-to-be wannabe.

In the US it is difficult for anyone to win in the general election who doesn't display a sense of humor. It is even more important to the public than intelligence. Hillary is very smart and capable, and I have no idea of how she is in person, but in public, she is completely lacking any sense of humor that I can tell. I doubt that she can even win the Democratic primary. She is the front runner now mostly because she has the best name recognition and money. But often the front runner label is a liability. People "expect" you to win. If she looses a few of the first primaries she is out. My guess is that it will be Edwards that takes the Democratic nomination. At any rate it is her in public personality that is her biggest problem. And I doubt even with all the coaching in the world that something like that can be changed. Too bad, she probably would make a good President, certainly a lot better than the current one. But then again, my dog would have done a better job than he has.

It is of my opinion that IF Hillary runs a solid campaign she would still have a very hard time being elected. I'm not sure that having Bill beat the path for her will be a pro or con. I personally would vote for her and I've voted in every election since I came home from Vietnam in 1968.
I have voted for each party and I remain an Independent.
Hilary is very intelligent but the neocons will drag her thru the mud for that is their style. I'm anxious to see if the neocons drag Chuck Hagel thru the mud since he has spoken up about the waste of lives in Iraq..

I'm and independent and have no intention of Voting for Hillary. Personally, I have had enough of the Clintons (8 years) as elected officials and would rather see and read about them off the public stage and doing humanitarian good work and deeds.
Also, I find your question worded in a rather offensive manner. Sorry, but you turned me off in a way I want to just tune out.

Consider this; May I present to you First Gentleman, William Jefferson Clinton.
I think the voters could accept a woman as president, but, I don't think 4 to 8 years of Bill in the spotlight again would be good for the country.

I think it would be wonderful to have a female president. So many people are sexist against it and make rude comments but I think it would be great. If she becomes President, then she will send out an important message to young girls and women everywhere. You can be anything you want to be.
By the way, I can't vote yet but I will be able to in 2008!! I can't wait.

Hillary Clinton would not be a good president because she is very ignorant to the case we have in Iraq. She sheds light on the problems that Bush has and that he is pathetic which it's actually not the case. We are having progress in Iraq. They now have Schools that they've never had, they now have voting rights, now they can voice their opinion alot more to the government, whereas before if they ever said any suggestions to Saddam Hussein, they were punished severly. The terrorists are hiding, waiting for us to leave but they are given hope by Hilary Clinton, that we will leave and put our defenses down and give them a chance to come here, in the US, to kill many innocent citizens. We are saving people human rights over there. The men and women who died there will have died in vain if Hillary Clinton is for President. Those who died for the freedom of our country have died an honorable death and i will not vote for someone who will just run like a coward when we are shot at. i will not vote for someone who will make my Uncle fight there and try save people for nothing. Yes, it is a huge price to pay for but it is a price to pay for our children, the future of our country. Our children need to be taught honor, pride in our freedom, and intellegence. We take that away from our future if we do not express it now, now people should show honor and help those who need our help and keep ourselves and our children protected.
I won't vote for her just because she is a woman and I am a woman. She has to be good for our country too.

No thank you.
Hillary would be no better than George Bush.
She was for Iraq when it was popular and she's against it now because it is unpopular. What does that tell you about her character? What kind of President would she be?
You also have to judge her on the action of her husband. Why? Because it was her husband. I'm not talking about Bill getting laid, I'm talking about his Gun Control stance and the fact that he raised taxes. I think Hillary would side with her husband on both of these issues and I disagree with them.
I think Bill Clinton would have a better chance of getting America to amend the constitution to allow a third term and getting elected to that third term than Hillary getting elected.
Of course, Hillary would divorce him if he did that, which might make American like him more.
Make no mistake, Americans miss Bill's character, not his last name. They want Bill back, not Hillary.
