I am starting a juice fast. Can I or should I still take my daily vitamins with the juice? Or will the variety of juices take care of all that?

no you should not unless they are liquid as one of the reason fast work to cure diseases is that the energy going to digestion now goes to healing and repair, taking anything solid may mess this up and reactivate your hunger which normally goes away after a few days and doesn't return for well over a month or more when you are starving..it is the sign to eat.. I have went on a 30 day juice fast and was not hungry at all after the first days. Felt great,,

Do chew your juice though. Use mostly fresh fruits and veggies asnd juice in a juicer or squeezer if citrus. Fruits are cleaners and veggies are healers. The best fruit juice is 40% apple, 40% grape, and 20% berry and the best vegetable juice is 40% carrot, 40% beets and 20% kale or leafy greens.

Use 100% frozen or bottled juices sparingly. You may also use potassium broth. See this website book for recipe in the incurables program. http://www.curezone.com/schulze/handbook/

You may also use herb or green tea..I used honey or real maple syrup as sweeteners.

I also took Dr, Schulze intestinal cleanse I and 2 (but one is a capsules so maybe I messed up my own advice but Schulze used this with dying patients so I guess it is OK, but he soesn't approve of vitamins.minerals as most as not good.

You may take his superfood though but I would leave out the fruit he recommends and just use juice. His [products mentioned above are found at herbdoc. com (here a link to the index..go to the herbal products page and look up intestinal cleanse 1 and 2 and superfood). Many people had testamonials from superfood..the formula is instantly absorbed..he tells you why it is superior to vitamins.

Be sure to use as many organic produce items as you can. Be sure to drink frest juices within 15 minutes as the enzymes leave after that and that also is a main reason they are good. Usually one does not mix fruits and veggies but apple may be mixed with veggies like apple carrot for example.

How one breaks a fast is important..go slow exampe some cooked carrots, or a salad, or a small bakd potatoe..seek advice froma website. Don't eat too much at first as your stomach shrins..some people go on an elimination diet introducing one foods at a time to try to see what allergies they have..trying an allergic food and test ing it.. but that is optional.

Occassionally one feels worse and this is a healing crisis where toxins are being relaeased..you might cleanse the elimination organs to get the toxins out (agains see Schulze's cleanes like 5 day cleanse..

Unlike the first poster advised, juice fasting is perfectly safe..I have done many 7 day ones and a 30 day one with no problem..in fact, I felt better than ever..people I talked to who had been on a fast agreed. Drs. try to scare you. I plan on going on a 45 to 60 days one in a few months..that I have been putting off tyears but this is the year..Let food be your medicine..the supperfood is far superior to vitamin/minerals.. here is why at the link

Go ahead and take the multivitamin. It also provides iron, calcium, and a few other nutrients you're not going to get from the juice.

And remember that juice fasts are not long term. A few days is all you really need, beyond that you may face some health consequences that would be less than pleasant.

The variety of the juices will take care of that! Even beyond that! Also you would be wasting you time and money taking supplements when doing a detox because it will just go right through you, when you cleanse your body it getting rid of everything and if you take supplements it will get rid of that too. Good luck, you will feel sooo good when you are done, I am very happy for you. Good luck and good health!
