i have a 3 week old baby girl. my husband and i are planning on having two kids. we have been tring to figure out what age we want our daughter to be before we try for #2. what do you think the best age would be?

♥ ♥ I have been told that it takes a woman 2 years to return to normal... so I would have one before then.. and definately before 4 years apart... closer is better...and one wants to go thru that diaper stuff as quick as possible... and potty training.. yep closer the better ♥ ♥

I have a girl and boy 18 months apart. It was unplanned and crazy at time's but has ended up being a wonderful age gap for them. They play together and are never competitive.
My kids will play together all day if I'm not feeling well and not fight. We go on trips all of the time and they keep themselves entertained in the back seat with conversation and playing.
My brother's kids are 2 years apart and are not like this at all. I'm not sure if it's just my kids personalities but they are such good friends. I really think we had our son before my daughter had a chance to be jealous ( she was too young to be). He's been her Buddy since day one and it has worked out great. They are now ages 7 and 5 1/2, 2 years apart in school.
They are now begging us for another one, so we think it might be time. We think we'll have two more 18 months apart again! Good luck! Having a girl first is nice because they are so good at being mommy's helper's! Congrads

Just after the first one gets out of diapers is good
my kids are about 2 years apart and they get along pretty well. The longer you space it out the harder it is for them to relate to each other.
but its all on you, if you want a break between kids wait longer but not too long, too early is bad too.
Two babies is a really hard job.
