One of the definitions for that word is "a female dog" while the other is "a malicious, spiteful, or domineering woman sometimes used as a generalized term of abuse." What's crazy is, somewhere down the line, people think calling each other this word is ok. They almost make it a term of endearment. Many women will call their friends that as a way of being nice, or silly. Then, there are men who will call women that mostly in a mean derogatory way, or as a way of claiming property. No matter when, where, or how it's said, I will always believe it's offensive.
