It is if you dont mind payin that exhorbitant price I guess! I would suggest a custom HP system with the latest graphics card loaded with video ram. A mobo that will support 3 gigs of ram and fill up the slots and you will probably have every bit as good a PC as the Alienware at half the cost!
FORGET DELL! I repair PCs for a living and Dell is poor on support and costs a fortune for replacement parts! They arent very compatible with most hardware on the market either!

Get a Dell XPS, if money is not a prime factor for you. If you're willing to spend quite a bit of money, you can get a really nice Dell XPS system. Get the XPS 710 H2C Black. With some great customizations, it will come up to $7336. The details are here:

HARD DRIVE: FREE Upgrade to 500GB SATA Hard Drive from 250GB - $200 Value
OPTICAL DRIVE: Dual Drives: 16x DVD-ROM Drive + 16x DVD+/-RW w/ dbl layer write capable

Sound good to you? Customize it on Dell. These are the best sounding ones that I saw, maybe you can find another XPS system that has less expense. But this one is the ultimate one for gaming and performance.

Alienware has a lot of quality issues. For a good desktop i would recommend something from dell would be pretty good. Their xps line is pretty cool for gaming( taking a guess from the alienware request). I personally prefer apple desktops. The new imacs are sweet and the mac pros are AMAZING!

Sure!
Alienware is a popular brand of computers! They even made terabyte computers I do believe so myself. It's especially good for gaming! They made tons of computers at an affordable price! Even for low income families! It's a really good brand.

i recommend looking on the Internet to get a very good idea on what you want for your computer and then go to shops to see how God they can do it(its best buying from shops because its easy to take it back if it breaks). alien ware is apparently good, Ive never used it but on there website they looked rather expensive. think PC world or dell would be better.
