My girlfriend is stuck in Ohio (many miles away) and doesn't know what's wrong with her car. Her heater went out first, and now she can't exceed 60mph without hearing a clanking noise. She's calling a garage right now, but I'd like second opinions. ANY IDEAS?!?! Thanks!

She ran it out of water. The heater stops working first when the water level drops, and the clanking is the engine pats after they're wasted. It will need a new engine.

Like Mikey and frank f have suggested. You did no longer get the full tale. there is not any way the police or every physique however the owner of the vehicle is going to could pay for damages and prefer pronounced right this is why. If spikes are used on a motor vehicle, it replaced into maximum probable in a pursuit. this suggests that the motive force is breaking the regulation for no longer pulling over. (whether it replaced into the incorrect vehicle) At this factor the motive force is going to be arrested and is committing against the regulation. The police use spike strips to provide up the motor vehicle, and motive force is arrested. Any harm to the motor vehicle it relatively is brought about is the duty of the motive force or proprietor at this factor.

I't could be a couple of things but if she has no heat and its clanking she may have a blown head gasket. Better she gets to the next available off ramp with a gas station. Don't want to have to pay for a wrecker and repair bill GOOD LUCK

if the heater went out then it might be the thermostat.if its hot enough to boil then she will lose power cause the valves are getting too hot and the noise shes hearing is probably the valve, because they are too hot and making a noise.
