I'd like my large external hard drive to hold programs like itunes for example. I'd also like my computer to be able to access them, just like the internal drive. How can this be done? I'd like to know also if it is possible to scrap the internal drive and simply use the external one in its place. Tell me all you know!

You probably can't scrap the internal one altogether, as most motherboards won't boot off a USB device, but if the external drive is always connected you can probably install most programs there that aren't needed early in the boot sequence. You don't want your antivirus program there, for example, but iTunes should be fine.

yeah, just open your PC up and connect the hard drive to the cables (look on Internet to find out how or ask someone to show you how) this will then just act as a normal hard drive and it will appear as a drive on my computer just like the c drive dose. its a simple process but you will need to be shown it so you don't go breaking your computer.
