I believe you'd recognize God by what it feels like to be in his/her presence..
state of bliss, love, joy ..like nothing you can ever remember feeling, and nothing you could describe in words to anyone completly.

There is no way to recognize God outside of yourself...Deity appeared in flesh will be harshly judged in attempt to get rid of , for that appearance would represent serious thread to legislated beliefs and structures build upon it... We have an examples, plenty of it....Appearance of a God within individual giving that individual a choice..to be or not to be....and society, if informed will quickly diagnose those Blessed ones.. as it usually happened

god can be every one of those things, or none of them. It all just depends on your, personal beliefs. God may be in a form of a person or an idea for you, and if you are happy in your life and in your beliefs, you don't even need to worry about it.

He/She would be the one who doesn't need me to worship, since requiring humans to worship is like requiring them to build you a ship to cross the seas. If you're God, what do you need either for?

Well according to the Bible we were made "in the image and likeness of himself" so God (if he exists - which he doesn't) would look like one of us.
