I have fairly dry skin, but I break out around my nose every once in a while. I normally just wear some concealer, but I would like to find a good foundation. My only concern is that it would ruin my skin, even though I try to take good care of it (I'm 14). If I do wear it, should I get a cream or powder formula? I heard Dream Matte Mousse foundation is good. Has anyone tried it, and does it work? Also, on the show What Not to Wear on TLC, Carmindy the make-up artist uses an aerosol foundation. Does anyone know where I can get this or how it works?

Use a cream or liquid foundation. Powder foundation will be too drying unless you apply a heavy moisturiser before applying the powder.

Revlon makes an excellent range for dry skin and includes SPF like New Complexion and Age Defying. Maybelline too has a couple of great products like Dream Matte Mousse and Wonder Finish.

If the price is not an issue, select a moisturising foundation from Chanel or Clarins.

The aerosol foundation Carmindy uses on What Not To Wear is ERA Face Spray foundation by Classified Cosmetics. Can be purchased on Sephora.com. It is expensive though, about $55 a can. MAC also has an aerosol type foundation that can be purchased on their website maccosmetics.com

A good foundation will protect, not ruin your skin. Just be sure to clean your face in the evening.Dream Matte Mousse is OK.

the most acceptable makeup i have found in my many years of searching (as I, too, have oily pores and skin) is L'Oreal authentic tournament Mineral Powder. (a minimum of, i imagine that is what that's noted as). that's this free powder that's equipped in 2 chambers: one for the powder, and yet another for the comb. that's spectacular- you'll get it in a lot of of shades and that all of them blend superbly with pores and skin. it is also basic and organic searching, so it received't cake up or clog pores like maximum liquid foundations. And it covers superbly and calmly, that is a tremendous plus. I actually have obviously olive-toned pores and skin, so i'm no longer wide on bronzers, yet i recognize that there are 3 or 4 shades of free-powder bronzers, as well as a sheer ending powder which reduces the creation of bumps and redness. It also in user-friendly words contraptions you decrease back about $10. strong success!

i use Models Prefer, and i HIGHLY recommend it. it comes with 2 tubes (one light one medium dark, or you can order which ever you need to match you skin tone) that you put into a pump and can mix the tones to match your skin. and i have very very sensitive skin on my face, if i dare use anyting wrong on it i turn red and break out.
Models Prefer is a little more expensive than what you would get at the drug store but it is SOO worth it! they have an entire cosmetics line. their mascara is awesoem as well.
look it up online!

don't use it unless cameras will be rolling cause it settles in your pores and wrinkles making them bigger. I have done this and out of all my over done friends wish they had my skin, they actually tell me that if they had my skin they wouldn't need it either. Joke is they used to have the creamy smooth skin and i just, well, did not.
