Since you're sure pregnancy is out of the question, and since you've only had it for a year and a half, it's probably just not quite regulated itself yet. But it will get more regular.

If you're still having very irregular periods in 6 months to a year, you should probably see a gynecologist, just to be on the safe side. For now, don't worry, it will come.

Since not having sex is somewhat subjective, let's be clear: if you've had contact with semen or pre-ejaculate, whether there was an orgasm or not, whether there was penetration or not there is still a chance of pregnancy.

However, since you've only had your period for a year and a half and this has happened before, I'd assume this is simply a normal hormonal fluctuation. If you're very concerned, you can consult with a nurse or doctor.

One more possibility, have you lost a great deal of weight recently? Are you dieting or restricting your eating? Most diets shouldn't have this effect, but severe undernourishment (like that which occurs in eating disorders or with other extensive weight loss) or intensive athleticism (like in Olympic athletes) can cause a woman to lose her period (amenorrhea- http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/amenorrhea/DS00581/DSECTION=3). If you have lost a lot of weight, you might want to speak to a doctor about this. Other causes like medications, contraceptives and stress could also be possibilities (see the website linked above).

Talk to your doctor. It may be embarrassing, but there could be something wrong.
