1. Can you believe mark prior is actually ready for spring training? Healthy? Being a cub fan, I can't.
2. Who do you want to play center : Jones, Pie, Soriano, or Theriot.

I don't want Soriano to play because that means Jones in right. Jones would be better off in center.

I think it's great that Prior is feeling good and it makes sense, much like Brett Saberhagen, he seems to be an odd-year kind of pitcher. Look at his best seasons, 2003 and 2005...both odd years. Brett Saberhagen made a career out of being an odd year pitcher and I feel like Prior is built from the same mold. I think it'd be great for him to show up healthy and ready to contribute, he's always had incredible stuff but health issues have derailed what could have been a Hall of Fame career. Hopefully, this will be the season it all comes together for Marky-Mark.

As far as CF, I think Pie is close to making the show. All the reports I've read have him sitting on the edge where a good showing in Spring Training could win him the job and I'd like to see him brought up to see if he's everything he's been billed to be, but I think Soriano makes the most sense. Jones could play CF and has, but Soriano is faster and I think Murton and Jones will make sure he doesn't have to overcompensate for them. He also has a cannon, Jones has a great arm as well, so it only makes sense to stick Soriano in CF until a trade for Jones can be worked out or until Pie is ready and the team comes up with a new gameplan (ie: Izturis to the bench, DeRosa to short and Soriano to 2B)...we'll have to see.

Either way it's been way too long since I've seen some MLB action and I'm so stoked for this season to start!!!

1. I think Prior will be more ready this year than last, but he is injury prone so I'm not filled with confidence he'll be playing all season.

2. I'd like to see Soriano try center this spring. No matter what the Cubs won't have a natural center fielder until maybe next season when Pie is most likely to be ready.
