Basically, the Premium system offers more for your money. There is only about a $100 difference, but the Premium system includes component cables, a headset for XBOX LIVE, a hard drive, a wireless controller, and a free trial subscription to XBOX LIVE.

The Core system includes composite cables and a wired controller. So basically, the premium one is easily the better value when you consider that buying a hard drive alone costs $99, and there is really no way of getting around buying one if you really wanna experience all that the 360 has to offer.

1. It's got that silver chrome tray, something that the core can't ever have.

That's it. The core can do everything that the premium can do with a few upgrades.
