I'm a firm believer in the adage: "Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime," so I won't fill in the blanks for you. Rather, here's a take on the Catch-22 rule. Bear with me, it was a LONG, LONG time ago:

Catch-22 specified that expressing concern for your safety in the face of a clear and present danger indicated a sane mind and only the sane could fly (if I remember that clause correctly).

Since Orr was insane, he could be grounded if only he asked. However, asking would prove he was sane and, by Catch-22 rules, would have to fly more missions.

Orr would be considered insane to want to fly more missions, and sane if he didn't. But, if he was sane, he'd have to fly.

If he wanted to fly, he was insane and didn't have to; but if he didn't want to fly, he was sane and had to (God, that hurt just writing that!!!).

Yossarian, fearing death, believes he is the only sane one and everyone else is crazy. So, Yossarian is a sane man living under a condition where insanity is considered sane by perverted circular logic.

I hope that's enough, and not too much.

it is distinct from the books you indexed, yet in case you want classics then you ought to certainly attempt it. i appreciate capture-22. it is hilarious yet rather tragic at the same time. It no longer purely makes you snigger, even though it makes you imagine as well.
