I've read about charity cycles across Cuba - does anybody know if it's possible to join in (in a strictly non-cycling capacity)? Or are there any other options?

i'm english, so there are no restrictions on that front, and i'm going for a gap year, so i can't stay longer than about six months

You'd better not be a US citizen. Look up Oxfam and other charities who offer l or 2-yr. stints in countries that need them.

I believe it's illegal for Americans to go to Cuba.
