I've just installed a washing machine using a cold water feed and have no need (at the moment) for the hot water feed pipe. It's got a tap at the end but I also want to seal it somehow. Where can I get something to seal/blank it off?

If it is a copper line cut off the tap & solder a blank end cap on the end.

Why not just leave it alone. We quit using hot water in the laundery 15 years ago & I just turned off the tap & left it.

You can also get a blank cap that will screw on your tap so opening the handle won't let water spill out.

It is best to leave it there at the washing machine, but if you want to control use of it, there are "locks" you can get from a hardware store. They fit around the pipe and through the handle. OR you could just remove the turning handle. there may even be a cap that would screw on the spigot just like a hose would. Removing the hot water pipe is just not normally done. Do you own the house?

Go to the lawn and garden section of : Lowes', Home Depot or Walmart and look for a cap that screws on to the end of the faucet. Make sure it has a rubber washer in it or it will not seal.

ocean, you can get a cap the same size as a hose thread and put it on witha washer inside.
Also hook up a diverter hose that goes from your cold wtr to both the hot & cold on the washer so both lines feed into the washer.
some washers deliver water mix even tho the hot is not used, so just to secure both lines always have water in them, get the diverter and your on your way.
remember to shut off the hot water off and change your machine to "all cold water wash& rinse" !
