I really like this name. However, our last name is McCarty. Do you think "Autumn McCarty" blends too much when said aloud? Since it's ends with an M sound, and begins with an M, I thought it may mush together?

I think it's a great name. Autumn is a very distinctive word and does not get lost when put in front of your last name. There are many first names that harmonize with the last name like yours does. I think it's very beautiful. Congratulations.

Well, if you like the name.. and it is a very nice name then you should consider the fact that how many times will her full name be spoken? My name at one point through adoption by a stepfather was Jennifer Jensen.. but everyone only called me Jen, all the time.. Autumn is very pretty.. If you are really dead set that the mm sound is too much maybe consider Summer? Or Brooke? any other femine names involving nature..

it does run together - my name does, too. it's not that big a deal and i really like the name autumn. it if bothers you, try another 'a' name like amber. or if it's seasons that you like, summer mccarty is nice.

I think its very sweet and pretty! I think its just fine. whats the middle name? It sounds better than...lets say Autumn Adams. Now that would suck!!! I love it! Plus Autumn is the best time of the yr!

I had a boss once, Lee, that when you said his first and last name together, it sounded like you were saying Lisa. At least with the name you've chosen, you still understand it, even if it's said fast.

no, i don't think it mushes together at all. with your last name being "mc" it makes a much different sound then the m in autumn.
