Some of these people answering are definately not stamp collectors.Most stamps are not worth $3000.00 unless you get a rare and unusual type.First it's only a half-penny,and it is probably what dealers call"common" meaning there are still a lot of them around.Also condition,color and mint or used have a lot do with value.I would think it's a good idea just to go to a dealer and have him look.These people are honest and want you to come again.You don't say where you are but check your on line yellow pages for dealers in your area.Most good sites will tell you where they are located.If not then try the old fashioned book method.Good luck hoping it is worth $$$.

Go to "Stanley Gibbons" site. They are the biggest stamp dealers in the UK and possibly the world. They can tell you the value and any other info that you may need.

look for a stamp collector in ur area phonebook and take it to them. It has to b seen inorder to decise it's value anyway
