They way I understood it to be, is every state has their tax base the GST will come out of one of tax slots. Some states will have a higher sales tax and lower in others. But Housing is either High or low or the alcohol & tobacco is raise to accommodate the GST. In one of the hundreds of categories the GST is accountable from one of those. Basically we pay more for luxury itemes (taxed). We are taxed for the money we make! Why do we have to be taxed for the money we spend?
