So im supposed to write a poem for school on m apartments and im not sure how to start it off so can anyone help me out? it can be any style poem...please sumone help me because i have no idea what to write about..maybe sumthing about the staff's frendliness or sumthing? please help..thank u soo much...

As I opened the door, I said "Hmmm, what's that smell?
The last tenant kept dogs, and smoked weed as well.
Some bacon grease splatters there cheer up the space,
And a fire once warmed it, though there's no fireplace."
"It's a place to come home to." Yes, that's all that mattered.
I turned on the light and the roaches all scattered.

I moved to an apartment
'Cause my girlfriend was a louse,
My paycheck wasn't big enough
To pay rent on a house.
This was a bad mistake, I fear
It's really not appealing
When the chick upstairs does
Jumping jacks that shake my ceiling.
Just as I'm drifting off to sleep
I hear noise through the wall
My neighbor's getting lucky
While I get no sleep at all.
All I want's a quiet place
To shelter from the weather
And for you to tell me why
APARTments are together.

Apartments? Hmm...well maybe start out describing the building. Brick fortress? Birthplace of your memories? Something like that...don't know if that helps. :-/
