If they are big enough, no. Guinea pigs aren't really runners the way most other rodents are, though. The best way for your pig to get exercise is to take him out of the cage and play with him on a floor that is easily cleaned & where there is nothing dangerous to chew on. Most pigs won't use the wheels or a giant hamster ball.... they do like to run around on the floor and explore.

Most guinea pigs aren't fond of running. I had a guinea pig once and I bought her one of those big balls she could run around the house in, but she didn't use it. I'd put her in it and she'd just stand there looking up at me through the clear plastic like, "Are you kidding?"

They are good in that they get a lot of exercise. but I lost two do, to the fact that they got thier heads caught in the wheel. So I think i would find another form of excercise for your little darlings. Good luck to you and your pets.
