Depens on where you live. Just look up salvage in yellow pages or yell.co.uk. You could maybe try ebay too.

Check your phone book for iron works/ welding shops-- be sure and price new vs old-- you might be surprised.
I would also price aluminum gates-- no rust you know. I have iron scroll work that needs to be sand blasted and powder coated-- not an annual chore (thank God), but it isn't cheap, either.
