HELLO!!!

The human body occasionally creates structures and substances which serve no discernible purpose. Such is the case with a membrane-covered growth called a cyst. A cyst is generally formed on the surface of an organ or in the empty spaces between muscle and skin tissues. Generally speaking, most cysts are harmless (benign) and self-contained, filled with air, infected fluids or semi-solid substances such as sebum.

A cyst may be caused by a defect during fetal development, an infection or some unknown reason.

TREATMENT

Routine examinations and observation of the cysts (for growth or other changes) may be the only treatment needed. Surgical excision (removal) may also be elected or possibly required if the cyst is causing symptoms.

Calling your health care provider:

Call your health care provider if a lump is felt inside the vagina or protruding from the vagina.

It sounds like you might have a Bartholin Cyst. These are fairly common and they don't know what causes them exactly. It is a blockage of the Bartholin Gland that lubicates that area. When it is blocked, it can get infected like a boil and hurts something awful. http://www.healthatoz.com/healthatoz/Atoz/common/standard/transform.jsp?requestURI=/healthatoz/Atoz/ency/bartholins_gland_cyst.jsp
If it is bothering you really bad, consider going to the nearest hospital emergency room. They will probably excise it (cut it open to drain) , put some packing in it and give you some antibiotics to take.
If it is not bothering you quite so much, call your gynecologist and tell them what is wrong and make an appointment. They will probably do the same thing.
If it keeps coming back after repeated excisions, you may want to consider an operation called marsupialization of the bartholin cyst. This is where they cut it open, turn the edges inside out, and sew it that way so it can't come back.

If it is not a cyst, but a genital wart, that would be something for the doctor to diagnose and treat also.

Don't stress the cysts there. Most people get them. The only way to get rid of them is through surgery. A doctor can get more indepth with you about the procedure.

Any problem with your "private parts" can be treated by a gynecologist. The "cyst" that you have may be a cyst (Bartholin's gland cysts are common) or it may be an abscess or condyloma. A gyn doctor can diagnose and treat it, whatever it is.

Good luck to you.

You can go to your regular doc. He is very capable of removing a cyst anywhere. They'll numb the area around the cyst, and then simply cut it out, suture you up, and send the sample to the lab. Good luck hon ~~~~

If it is small it could be treated using liquid nitrogen applied by your doctor. The other option is locally freezing the area and have it surgically cut off any cauterized.Again by a doctor.
