8 bits = 1byte ....... byte is represented as B ,bit as b .
1024 B = 1 KB (kilo)
1024 KB = 1MB (mega)
1024 MB =1GB (giga)
and so on ....
if ur wondering why 1024 and not any other number .. its bcoz 2^10 =1024 ..in computer everything is ..2 power some number ..
